Santos 2025 Apprenticeship Intake

Narrabri Committed to creating jobs for the future in the local Narrabri community, Programmed in partnership with Santos, are offering an Electrical apprenticeship to commence late 2025, early 2026. This could be your chance to start an exciting and rewarding career in the Energy Industry.

The Position:

Electrical Apprenticeship

- 4-year apprenticeship

- Earn a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820)

- This role involves the routine maintenance of equipment including repair, fault finding and assisting with shutdown activities including the overhaul of equipment, such as gas turbines, compressors and generators.

You will gain technical knowledge on hydrocarbon (natural gas) processing systems and develop trade skills. Your training will involve both on-the-job and classroom-based learning, both at local sites and registered training organisations.

To be successful you will be:

- Local to Narrabri and surrounding towns or wanting to relocate permanently to the area

- Able to work a roster (28-day cycle – 5 on 5 off, 4 on 5 off, 5 on 4 off)

- A team player with a willingness to actively contribute to achieving results

- Highly motivated with strong leadership skills

- A high commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail and procedures

- Passionate about building a career in the energy industry

- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision

- Completed, or about to complete, Year 12 with a pass in Mathematics, Science and English subjects is highly regarded or any vocational training

- Previous workplace experience would be highly desirable

- Hold or be willing to obtain a driver’s licence at the time of appointment

- Willing to complete Criminal Record Check and Medical Examination

These are entry level positions and require no previous experience in the energy industry.
